WEATHER - It looks like we are going to have a beautiful day this year! Right now the forecast is calling for a mix of sunshine and clouds with a high of 69 degrees. Still, be sure to check the weather the day of the event and dress accordingly. If things change drastically and there happens to be a rain delay or reschedule, we will notify you by email.
12 THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE EVENT
Arrival: Check-In begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Maryland.
New Guests: If you are bringing a guest to golf and think we may not have their email address, please take a moment to forward this message along.
GAMES PACKAGE: Many of you opted to purchase our "Games Package" this year when you registered. That means your team of two will already be included in the following: "The Bear" Putting Content (initial round), The Hon Ball Contest, and the Don Cook Memorial Raffle for a 2-person team in the 2026 tournament. Details about each of the games can be found in the next section of this email. Those of you who did not sign up for the Games Package will have two more chances to do so - though a separate email coming your way or the morning of the event.
Check-In and Registration: When you arrive, head straight for the Check-In table. If you pre-purchased the Games Package, we will confirm and send you on your way. If you did not pre-purchase the Games Package and wish to, you will have the opportunity to do so at that time.
What is waiting in your cart? Your divisional team shirt will be placed in your golf cart. Please change into your team shirt before playing. Locker Rooms are available. Also, please note that the dress code is golf attire (no jeans). Those who signed up for the Games Package will also find their raffle tickets and Hon ball.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and a post-tournament reception are all included in the day's events. Plan on joining us for all three. Only golfers, volunteers, and sponsors with a guest pass included in their sponsorship ticket will be permitted to attend the post-tournament reception.
The Cigar Box: Back by popular demand, we will be offering complimentary hand-rolled cigars from The Cigar Box, starting at 11:00 a.m.
Team Photos will be taken at 12:00 p.m.
A "Hole-in-One" opportunity awaits you! Try your luck at the 13th hole and you could win $5,000.
Champion in Life Partners: We will be joined by our two Champion in Life Partners! You will have the opportunity to learn about these organizations and meet those responsible for doing such great work in our community. It's a great opportunity to get an up-close look at the charities benefiting from the funds raised at the Community Cup.
Thank you! Lastly, your participation and generosity are appreciated more than you could know. This event allows us to make a real difference in the community and we attribute that success to everyone participating in this year's event. Enjoy!
DETAILS ABOUT THE GAMES PACKAGE
The Games Package includes these three extras:
Donald R. Cook Memorial 2-Person Golf Team Raffle: If your raffle ticket is chosen, you will win a team of two to play in the 2026 Community Cup. Both players will receive a custom logoed Golf Bag!
The "Bear" Putting Event: As part of the Games Package, your initial buy-in to the "Bear" Putting Event is covered. For a second chance, any player eliminated in Round 1 may choose to buy back into the contest for $20. We will take cash only at the time of this buy-in, however we won't have change, so come prepared with the exact amount.
The Hon Ball Contest: You and your partner can also participate in the Hon Ball Contest as part of the Games Package. You'll receive a brightly colored ball and in addition to normal play, for the first nine holes, you and your teammate will alternate playing your team's Hon Ball, keeping score on the designated section of your scorecard. A combined handicap will be applied and the lowest net score among all participating teams after the nine holes will win 50% of the Hon Ball pot. If you lose your Hon Ball while playing...you're finished, Hon!
