Tell us about your professional background. I spent 20+ years in radio and the last 14 years as the Vice President and General Manager of WMAR-TV.
In what ways are you connected to the community? I was born and raised in Baltimore, attending Cathedral grade school, Loyola High School and then Randolph-Macon College. Currently,I am the chairman of the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology board, President of the Signal 13 Foundation, and a board member of the Maryland/DC/Delaware Broadcasters Association. I am a past board member serving the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, MS Society of Md., ED Block Courage Foundation, and the Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation.
Why did you choose to get involved with the Building for God Community Foundation? In my years in media, I have been exposed to hundreds of non-profits. Some are very big and some are very small, but they all have a great mission and are filled with passionate people. I get the same feeling about the Building for God Community Foundation and its board members. My wife, Margy and I look forward to helping in anyway we can.
